Visa Check Card
The Priority Federal Credit Union Visa Check Card is an ATM card and Debit card all in one. This FREE card is convenient and easy to use. The Visa Check Card gives you the freedom to access your Share Draft Checking or Share Savings account wherever Visa is accepted and at any Automated Teller Machine (ATM) around the world on the Shazam, Cirrus or Pulse network that displays the Visa logo. This access is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
To use your Visa Check Card, simply present the card to the merchant, sign the receipt and go. Just as easily, you can go to any ATM convenient to you and quickly get cash by use of your assigned Personal Identification Number (PIN). And just like a check, the purchase or withdrawal is subtracted directly from your Share Draft Checking account. By using an ATM, you have access to withdraw cash from your Share Saving account also. Your monthly share draft statement, or quarterly savings statement, will provide you a detailed list of your purchases and withdrawals which makes money management that much easier.
Your Visa Check Card…
• Replaces writing a check and doubles as an ATM card
• Eliminates fumbling for your ID or waiting for check approval
• Is Free… no monthly or annual fees, no transaction fees and no finance charges
• Is safer than carrying cash
• Can be used at places that will not accept personal checks
• Can be used to order by phone, mail and on-line
YOUR VISA CHECK CARD IS GOOD WORLDWIDE WHEREVER YOU SEE THE VISA LOGO!
Members using the Visa Check Card at an ATM should read all signage carefully… many banks charge a surcharge for the convenience of using their ATM.
Avoid Fraud
Always be aware of credit card fraud perpetrators. Some unscrupulous telemarketers and merchants may use gimmicks to obtain your account number, address, debit card number and/or your card’s expiration date.
Remember Safety
Because we care about the personal safety of our members, we recommend that you follow these safety tips when using an ATM.
ATM Safety Tips
• Never share your PIN with anyone, and never give it out over the phone even if the caller identifies themselves as your credit union or police officer.
• Commit your PIN to memory. Never write your PIN on your card. Do not keep your PIN records and card in the same location.
• As you approach an ATM, be aware of your surroundings. If you notice anything out of the ordinary, visit the ATM at a later time or use one at a different location.
• Wait until you leave the vicinity of the ATM to count your money.
• Immediately report a lost or stolen card to the credit union.
Walk-up ATM Safety Tips
• Have your card ready, along with any other transaction materials, before you approach the ATM.
• As a matter of courtesy, wait until previous customers have finished their transactions before approaching the ATM. Always allow adequate distance between yourself and others leaving the ATM.
• Stand close to the ATM when entering your PIN. Do not allow others to watch.
Drive-up ATM Safety Tips
• Pull up close to the ATM.
• Remain in your car while conducting your ATM transactions. For added security, keep car doors locked and windows rolled up before and after making your transactions.
• Keep your car running while operating the ATM.
Remember that your personal safety while conducting transactions at an ATM depends entirely on the safety steps you follow.
